Since he was a child Harry Tromp has always been a lover of beautiful things and an admirer of the miraculous mechanism that makes watches tick. But one day Harry happened to see an advertisement in a jewellery shop and, despite his lack of experience, got taken on. Five years later, at the age of 21, Harry was sent on a purchasing trip to Basel, where he experienced the magic world of the Swiss watch industry.

It was not long before Harry was attracted to the city of diamonds itself, Amsterdam, where he eventually started his own exclusive jewellery store on the Rokin, in Amsterdam’s city centre. It is here where we find him today, in a shop that is as exclusive as it is welcoming and amply reflects Harry Tromp’s aspiration: to make exclusive objects affordable.
